Before you book
- Fix the date and timing firstper night rates change with the day, the season and how long you need — a firm date gets you a firm price.
- Name your city and areaTravel, setup and availability all depend on where you are. The same brief in two different cities rarely gets the same quote.
- Ask what is includedInclusions vary between providers far more than headline prices do. Confirm what is in the number before you commit.
Home market
Resortsin Islamabad & Rawalpindi
This desk started in Islamabad, so this is where our data runs deepest. Everything below is written for Islamabad and Rawalpindi specifically — other cities are covered, in less detail.
The resort belt closest to Islamabad runs up the Murree road: Bhurban at around two hours, Murree Mall Road just beyond it, Patriata further along, and the quieter Ayubia and Nathia Gali stretch about three hours out. Khanpur Dam offers a shorter ninety-minute alternative with water sports rather than pine forest. Rates in 2026 start near Rs 18,000 a night for a standard room and cross Rs 60,000 for valley-view suites at the top properties.
Two peak seasons drive pricing. June to August fills every property as families escape Islamabad heat, and late December to early February fills them again for snowfall. In both windows rates rise thirty to fifty percent and minimum-stay rules of two nights appear on weekends. April, May, September and October are the value months, with the same rooms at close to half the summer price and better weather for walking.
Before booking, confirm whether the room actually faces the valley, since interior-facing rooms at the same property can be half the price and are sometimes sold as equivalents. Ask about room heating in winter, the generator during snowfall outages, and whether the access road is cleared. Full-board packages usually save money on the Murree side, where restaurant prices climb steeply in peak weeks.
