Book Murree Day Trips in Islamabad

The classic Islamabad day trip. A packaged Murree day usually leaves a central sector between 7 and 8 am, reaches Mall Road by mid-morning, includes either Patriata for the chairlift and cable car or Bhurban and the Kashmir Point loop, and returns by evening. Travel time is around two hours each way in clear conditions and considerably more on summer weekends.

Shared group trips are Rs 3,500 to Rs 6,000 per person including transport, a coordinator and one meal. Private family trips in a car are Rs 16,000 to Rs 22,000 and a Hiace for a larger group Rs 28,000 to Rs 35,000. Patriata chairlift and cable car tickets are separate, generally Rs 800 to Rs 1,500 per adult.

Leave early or you will lose the day in traffic at Kuldana and Sunny Bank. In December and January, check whether the road is open before travelling and expect entry restrictions when the town is full. Carry warm layers even in spring, since Murree runs eight to ten degrees cooler than Islamabad, and keep cash for parking and small purchases.
