Islamabad photography splits into two markets that rarely overlap. One is studio hire, where you rent a lit room by the hour in F-8, I-8, E-11, DHA Phase 2 or Bahria Town Phase 7 and bring your own photographer. The other is service work, where you hire a photographer and their equipment for a wedding, a product catalogue, a corporate day or a family session, and the studio is either theirs or irrelevant.
Prices follow the wedding calendar more than anything else. From October to March, the strongest wedding photographers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi are booked out for weekends months ahead, and the same teams that shoot a walima on Saturday will not take a corporate job on Friday. Between April and September rates soften noticeably and lead times shorten, which is the right window for commercial, product and family work.
Ask for two things before you pay any advance: a full recent gallery from a single event or shoot rather than a highlights reel assembled from years of work, and a written list of exactly who turns up on the day, what they shoot with, and what you receive afterwards. Deliverable counts, edit style and turnaround are where disputes happen locally, and all three can be settled in one message.
