How much does a photographer cost in Islamabad?

Rates depend entirely on the job. A family or graduation session runs Rs 15,000 to Rs 60,000. A corporate day is Rs 40,000 to Rs 150,000. A single wedding event starts around Rs 120,000 and a full three-event wedding with cinematography runs Rs 3.5 lakh to well over Rs 15 lakh with the established Islamabad and Rawalpindi teams.

When should I book a photographer?

For weddings between October and March, six to twelve months ahead for the well-known teams, and at minimum eight weeks for anyone. Corporate and product shoots need one to three weeks. Family and graduation sessions can often be arranged within a week outside wedding season. Studio hire by the hour is frequently available the same day.

What should be included in a written quotation?

Names and count of photographers and cinematographers attending, hours of coverage, equipment including backup bodies, number of edited images delivered, film length and format, delivery timeline, whether raw files are provided, travel and accommodation for out-of-city events, and the payment schedule. Anything not written down tends not to happen on the day.

How long does delivery take?

A family or corporate shoot should return edited images in one to two weeks. Product catalogues run one to three weeks depending on volume. Wedding photographs usually take four to eight weeks and films eight to sixteen weeks, longer if you book in peak season when the same team is shooting every weekend. Get the date in writing.

Can I rent a studio without hiring the photographer?

Yes. Studio hire in F-8, I-8, E-11, DHA Phase 2 and Bahria Town Phase 7 runs Rs 4,000 to Rs 15,000 an hour with lights and backdrops included, and you bring your own photographer and crew. Confirm whether using your own strobes on venue power carries a charge and what the setup window is.

Are drone shots allowed in Islamabad?

Not everywhere. Airspace around the airport, the Red Zone, the Diplomatic Enclave and several government installations is restricted, and flying there without clearance is a serious matter. Legitimate operators arrange permissions in advance and will decline restricted locations. Ask your photographer to confirm the venue is flyable before you pay for aerial coverage.
