Should I accept a quote over the phone?

No. Insist on a survey visit where the surveyor walks the house and lists the large items, then quotes in writing. Phone quotes routinely miss a second trip, a staircase at the destination, or the fact that a wardrobe needs dismantling. Almost every dispute at unloading traces back to a quote given without a survey.

Is packing material included?

Usually not. Cartons, bubble wrap, stretch film and tape are typically billed separately at Rs 6,000 to Rs 20,000 depending on house size. Ask for it as a separate line so you can compare quotes properly, and confirm whether the crew packs the kitchen and crockery or expects you to have done it before they arrive.
