Driving Schoolsin Islamabad & Rawalpindi

This desk started in Islamabad, so this is where our data runs deepest. Everything below is written for Islamabad and Rawalpindi specifically — other cities are covered, in less detail.

Driving instruction in the twin cities runs as short courses of eight to twelve sessions, usually on a dual-control car or with an instructor beside you in a manual hatchback. Practice typically starts on quiet sector roads in G-13, I-8 or the Bahria Town internal roads before moving to the Expressway, Blue Area traffic and hill starts on the Margalla road.

A standard course of ten sessions is Rs 12,000 to Rs 20,000 in Islamabad, with women-only instructors at Rs 15,000 to Rs 28,000 because supply is limited. Automatic transmission courses cost slightly more than manual. Refresher courses of three to four sessions are Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000, and highway or motorway confidence sessions are usually priced separately.

Confirm that the sessions are the length quoted, since forty minutes and sixty minutes are both sold as one class. Ask whether the car is dual control, whether the instructor has taught nervous first-time drivers, and whether the school helps with the driving licence process at the Islamabad Traffic Police test track in H-11, which is a separate government procedure with its own fee.
