Security is booked for three practical reasons at Islamabad weddings: controlling entry when the guest list is large, watching the gift and salami table, and managing the gate when parking overflows onto the road. Licensed guards from registered companies cost Rs 4,000 to Rs 9,000 per guard per twelve-hour shift in 2026, with armed guards at the upper end.

For a 400-guest function, two to four guards is typical: one at the gate, one at the parking entrance and one near the gift table, with a supervisor for larger events. Venues on the Expressway, Kuri Road and in Chak Shahzad often need more gate presence than sector halls because approach roads are unlit and parking spills outward.

Use a registered company rather than informal hires, and ask to see the licence, since unlicensed armed guards create liability you do not want at a family function. Confirm uniform, whether the company provides a supervisor, and brief the guards on who may enter, because untrained gate staff turning away a relative causes more damage than they prevent.
