Farewell parties fall into two shapes. Student farewells for 100 to 300 guests need a hall or marquee with a stage, sound and space for performances, and usually run on a fixed budget collected per head. Office farewells for 20 to 80 are dinners at a restaurant or hotel room with a short speech, and price at whatever the department can approve.

For student farewells, halls in G-11, I-8 and Bahria Town rent at Rs 30,000 to Rs 120,000 plus catering of Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000 per head in 2026, which keeps the per-student contribution manageable. Office farewells at restaurants in F-6, F-7 and Blue Area run Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 per head with a set menu.

For student events, confirm the sound system, stage size and the venue's cut-off time, since performances always overrun. Ask whether the venue permits confetti and props, which many halls now restrict for cleanup reasons. For office farewells, request a private or screened section so speeches are audible and the group is not spread across a busy dining floor.
