Workshop spaces are the rooms that meeting rooms cannot be: movable tables, chairs that can form clusters, wall surfaces that take sticky notes and flip charts, and a breakout corner for coffee. Islamabad venues in F-7, F-8, I-8, Blue Area, DHA Phase 2 and Gulberg Greens hire these at Rs 20,000 to Rs 60,000 a day for fifteen to fifty participants.

Facilitated sessions live or die on the room. Ask how much clear wall space exists, whether pinning or taping to the walls is permitted, how many flip chart stands are available, and whether the tables can actually be moved or are fixed. A glass-walled room with nothing to stick paper on wastes half the value of a design sprint.

Confirm whether the day rate covers setup the evening before, tea and lunch service inside or outside the room, and materials such as sticky notes and markers, which some venues supply and others do not. Book one to two weeks ahead, and longer for hackathons needing overnight access, which only a minority of Islamabad venues permit and always at a premium.
