Badminton Courtsin Islamabad & Rawalpindi

This desk started in Islamabad, so this is where our data runs deepest. Everything below is written for Islamabad and Rawalpindi specifically — other cities are covered, in less detail.

Badminton runs indoors year-round in Islamabad, which makes it the most weather-proof court sport in the city. Courts operate in sports complexes and private halls around G-9, F-8, I-8, H-8, DHA Phase 2 and Bahria Town, plus club courts in F-6 and F-8. Hourly rates start near Rs 1,200 off-peak and reach Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,500 for evening slots on good wooden or synthetic flooring.

The differences that matter are floor and ceiling. Wooden or PVC mat courts play far better than painted concrete, and low ceilings ruin high clears, so ask about both before booking a new venue. Most halls do not supply rackets, so bring your own; shuttles are either sold at the counter for Rs 150 to Rs 400 each or included in a slightly higher court fee.

Weekday evenings between 7pm and 10pm are the busiest, and winter demand from November to February is heavier than summer because indoor sport becomes the default. Book two to three days ahead for evening slots in that window. Regular pairs and fours should ask for a standing weekly booking, which most halls will hold at a discount if paid monthly.
