Lahore has the deepest bridal-makeup market in the country and it sits in two belts. Gulberg — MM Alam Road, Liberty and the Main Boulevard side streets — holds the long-established salons and most of the names families recognise. DHA Phases 5 and 6 and the Cavalry Ground side carry the newer studios and a large number of independent artists working out of a single room rather than a salon floor. Johar Town and Model Town have solid mid-market options at noticeably lower prices for the same three-function package.

Rates in 2026 start around Rs 25,000 per function with a salon's senior artist. The working middle of the Lahore market, Rs 40,000 to Rs 70,000, buys a signature artist, an HD or airbrush base, hair setting, dupatta draping and lashes. The best-known Gulberg and DHA names run Rs 90,000 to Rs 150,000 and above. Three-function packages covering mehndi, barat and walima are usually quoted fifteen to twenty-five percent below the sum of the individual functions, with the barat priced highest. A studio appointment costs less than a home visit, and travel out to a Bedian Road, Barki Road or Raiwind Road venue adds roughly Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000.

Timing is the part that goes wrong in Lahore. October, November, February and March are the dense wedding weeks and the top artists close those Saturdays two to four months out; December and January are marginally easier, because the smog pushes some families out of those weeks. If your barat is at a marquee on Bedian or Raiwind Road, work backwards from the traffic rather than the ceremony — artists normally arrive four to five hours before barat time, and Main Boulevard and Ferozepur Road on a season Saturday evening will cost you an extra hour. Book a paid trial six to eight weeks out, Rs 8,000 to Rs 20,000 and often adjusted against the final bill, and confirm in writing which artist is physically doing your face rather than which salon you booked.
