Renting bridal jewellery has become standard in Islamabad, largely because gold prices make purchase impractical for a set worn on three evenings. Artificial and gold-plated bridal sets rent for Rs 8,000 to Rs 30,000 per function in 2026. Kundan and polki-style pieces run Rs 25,000 to Rs 80,000. Real gold sets on rent are Rs 50,000 to Rs 200,000 against a substantial deposit.

Rental houses operate around Blue Area, F-7 Jinnah Super, F-10 Markaz and Saddar, and most require a refundable security deposit that can equal or exceed the piece value for real gold, plus CNIC copies and sometimes a post-dated cheque. Returns are typically due within twenty-four to forty-eight hours of the function.

Photograph the set from every angle at handover with the shopkeeper present, and count individual stones on the receipt for heavy pieces. Confirm the damage and loss policy in writing, since a single missing jhoomer stone can trigger a large deduction. Book two to four weeks ahead in peak season, when matching sets to a specific outfit colour gets difficult.
