A standard 2026 wedding menu is one rice, two gravies, one barbecue item, naan, salad, a soft drink and a dessert. Adding a live counter, a second barbecue item or a second sweet typically raises the rate by Rs 300 to Rs 900 per head. Most caterers take a 40 to 50 percent advance and need the final guest count 48 to 72 hours before the function.

Ask for the menu written dish by dish rather than as a package tier, and confirm the waiter ratio, which should be roughly one per fifteen to twenty guests on buffet service. Check whether crockery, chafing dishes, buffet counters and cleanup are included, and whether the caterer has worked your specific venue before, since kitchen access and load-in rules vary a lot between halls and marquees.
