Career counselling in Islamabad is used at three points: choosing between pre-medical, pre-engineering and A Level streams after Matric, planning university applications at home or abroad, and mid-career professionals considering a change. Sessions run at consultancy offices in the Blue Area and F-7, at coworking spaces, or online, and usually include an aptitude assessment.

A single session of sixty to ninety minutes costs Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000. Packages combining an aptitude test, two sessions and a written report run Rs 20,000 to Rs 45,000. University application support, including personal statement review and shortlisting for the UK, US, Canada or Australia, is quoted separately and often runs into six figures at established consultancies.

Separate counselling from admissions consultancy. A counsellor helps a student decide; an admissions consultant sells placement services and may be paid commission by universities, which is a different incentive. Ask how the counsellor is compensated, what assessment tool they use, and whether you receive a written report you can revisit later.
